Still, Scott, that's pretty funny.
Oh man... Christopher made me laugh -- now Scott??? Did I wake up in Bizarro World?

Gore and Richardson are out because both grew the "beard of defeat" (I favor ammending the constitution -- growth of a defeat beard should be grounds to bar a candidate from ever holding public office again).

You know, there are beards of defeat, and then there's...
Jesse Ventura.

Understand its not all beards -- only the self-pittying beard grown after losing an election that is a "Beard of Defeat." If Obama or McCain grew one now, well, right on!

To his credit John Kerry did not grow a beard of defeat.

I think it's high time we bring back bearded presidents. Is facial hair so not in political vogue that a man sporting some just would not be electable?

Well, with Lincoln, it was covering up his actual face, so it did him a favor.
(And for all those of you expecting the "Lincoln was gay" rap out of me, you can forget it!)

I'd vote for a guy in a beard (or a lady with a beard for that matter) if I thought he or she was the best candidate. But John Corzine has not helped the cause of bearded chief executives . . . .
