The Thing works well as a mighty mug. The character is almost perfect for it.

I know you hold Kirby in very high regard, but isn't this a pretty big
failing on an artist's part, not being consisistent from issue to issue or
even page to page?
••
Depends on the inconsistencies. If, say, an artist draws a character with
heels on both his boots in one panel, then on one boot in the next, then
neither in the next, then one again, but the other one, in the next, etc,
etc, I'd say that's a big failing.
If, on the other hand, you have an artist with a breadth of imagination as
great as Kirby's, and sometimes the side-views don't quite match the
front views -- well, I'm prepared to say "the whole is greater than the
sum of the parts" and be content!

Be warned: if you buy the Kandor prop, you have to talk about it every time you enter the room you keep it in. Any visitor who comes to your house has to be told "This is a model of the Bottle City of Kandor, a Kryptonian city shrunken into a bottle by the space criminal Brainiac!" :)

How big is that Kandor model? The paint job looks a bit dodgy, unless it's
really small.

Kandor is just a little over 12 inches tall and six wide. The back side of it does have the air hose connected to the top on the glass. The paint job has almost a rustic look to it, I don't know if this was done on purpose but I would have prefered a more futuristic metal look to it myself. It does light up, sorry the inclosed pic is kinda blurry.

Would someone go out and buy a new toy of some kind already!!!!! It's been 4 days now since I've been able to be envious or jealous of anyone's purchases.
