As I have the characters themselves note, later in this issue, Wolverine barely knows the real Jean. There was the flight back to Westchester from Krakoa, of indeterminate length, then the "Christmas adventure" with the Sentinels. The first real "stirrings" on his part were post-transformation.Fact is, none of the all new, all different X-Men know her. Their experience has been almost entirely with Phoenix. And, of course, she doesn't really know them.

Reminded again of the X-Fans who grumbled when I had Ororo appear in XHY. "Then why didn't anybody recognize her in GSX-M 1??"Well, as I pointed out at the time, when the a.n.a.d. X-Men met the original team, it was in the middle of a huge battle, hardly the time for chitchat. And there was, in fact, plenty of time for a "Hey! It's you!" moment on the flight back home--which, of course, was not reported in that first issue.

In one of the backups in CLASSIC X-MEN, Claremont had Logan hitting on Jean pretty much right after they got back from Krakoa.

Could there be another orbital moment in Logan's future? LOL -I expect Jahf has other offensive options in any event...

What has me intrigued now is how JB will handle Jean's re-introduction to the X-Men. Although the Phoenix based its copy of Jean on the original, the two won't be identical.

I think a lot of you are forgetting something very important that happened in X-MEN 94. Not surprising. I’d forgotten it myself, until I had a D’OH! moment and realized I had to seriously rearrange what I’d planned for the next several issues.

Best left fist ever ? Meanwhile...always too many subplots...when you can't turn the pages :) and there is still a boom without Suzan's force field to investigate !!!
