Early indications are that a lot of mainstream press is interested in Civil War
because it’s a huge event that seems accessible by its very nature. You
won’t need a road map of the Marvel Universe in order to understand
what’s happening and that seems to me to be a very positive sign. Of
course time will tell but I really believe in this story.
Sure,
there might be characters that some people may not know, but they’ll
instantly be able to relate to what’s going on. Also, if the timing
works out, year’s end will bring about the most controversial story of
my tenure as Editor-in-Chief as the biggest genie ever goes back into
the bottle.
He may have plans to make Peter Parker a single man again, unless the genie is something else entirely.
