The "original" Spider-Armor was part of a really
stupid conflict with The New Enforcers, a team of
bad guys so vicious that Spider-Man needed a suit of
battle armor to even hope to defeat them...and that
armor was totally destroyed almost as soon as the
fight started.
Never mind the fact that Spider-Man had taken on the
entire Sinister Six, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four and
any number of other villainous teams without any
assistance before, but the New Enforcers were the
guys that had him quaking in his boots. Sigh...at
least we got a nice shiny cover out of it.

What is it that Joe is talking about that’s classified? How will Spidey’s relationship to Tony - and the new costume- play into Civil War?! You’ll have to read the books to see! But, it is safe to see that when it comes to this new costume, there is much more to the story!
It's going to tie into the "Civil War" "event", which sounds like it's going to be another cynical "super heroes betray each other and act like dickwads" story. Doesn't sound very fun to me.

That new costume looks like it belongs to Spider-Man's disco loving cousin. It's all shiny. Tell me that picture is some sad, tragic hoax. If it's a sign of things to come it seems like a cry for help. Maybe Spider-Man needs an intervention to snap him out of all this insanity he's going through lately.
If it's true can we all make sure Steve Ditko doesn't see that. I think it might shorten his lifespan.

Y'know, overall I haven't minded JQ's run as EIC, but over the last year or so, I am becoming concerned.
With House of M, Planet Hulk, Civil War, the complete destruction of the character of Spider-Man, and this bizarre 1985 thing they're doing, I'm thinking if they tank, there could be some real damage done to the company.
I personally don't like the direction Marvel is headed, so it will be interesting to see where Marvel stands one year from now.
And, to put one more nail in the coffin, that new costume is ugly.

These guys' professional judgement is impaired. Whether by chemical substances or just old-fashioned stupidity, I don't know.
