Yeah, but Walt was batting cleanup for Rob Liefeld. My grandma would kick major ass in that situation!

I think he was in a more difficult posotion. Liefeld had a made a huge mess.  Mr.Simonson even made me care about Liefeld's Thor while bringing the true Thor back. 

He even took advantage of the Heroes Reborn universss nature (being created by Franklin Richards) and tied it into the story. 

I had already knew that Walt Simonson was a fantastic writer, but that convinced me he should be nominated for sainthood.

I'm somehow picturing Tony now having a talking car which transforms to become his Armor . . . as Tony takes off on a tour of Germany as a singing sensation.

(incidentally, i agree about Walt's job with HR Avengers, made it a very fun read for the few months it had left of life. )

I guess now Tony Stark really IS Iron Man....

If Marvel keeps this up, the next thing you know, Peter Parker will evolve into an actual spider....

I say a prayer every day that Marvel will just consider the Ellis/Granov IRON MAN an out of continuity limited series so that we can just move on without all this crap that's being shoveled into the character.
