I was surprised by how much he actually looked like
Fury. Marvel's done worse. See F4's casting . . .

Tony Stark, I can see, but not Nick Fury.

Oddly enough, that was one of the better TV movies that used Marvel characters.

Really???!?!?? I guess it's true about the book and it's cover. I never got to see it, but now, oddly enough, I want to.

Hasselhoff looked kinda/sorta close to Jum Steranko's Fury. He still wasn't right for the role, but he didn't do too badly. And there was a Helicarrier, Dum Dum Dugan and Clay Quartermain! The TV movie was pretty faithful to the comic, all things considered.

Steve Jones: I bet those wacky Aussies are taking the piss.

Exactly right. As far as I understand, the Germans genuinely love him, and have helped make him a tidy fortune through record sales.

Here, he's the object of millions of email jokes, sight gags, and that weird 'how dorky are we for loving this' nostalgia. Knight Rider is a part of the pop culture of those of us who lived in the 80s, and affectionately so, even if, looking back it was a dodgy show (hey, I was very young, ok?)

But I've read about the show that he's bringing here, and it sounds very camp and deliberately cheesy, like a Vegas lounge show where we all see the old stuff (he's going to be driving KITT, it's in the tagline)
