Why is this run only 9 issues?

****

Apparently Gail and I were just "filler".

Looks like the sales will go down a lot then.

No reason to think that, really. The next team -- and I have no idea who they are -- could be folks you all want to see, or, at least, more people want to see than wanted to see Gail and me. Or they could be the worst team ever put on any title, but WIZARD will declare them "HOT!" and the knuckle-draggers will lumber into their LCSs and buy multiples of multiples.

So many variants! O, for the days when 1 sale ='ed 1 warm body!

Joe: That will leave me with Blood of the Demon and Invincible as my only monthly comics....

With the exception of SPIDER-GIRL, I'm in the same boat... unless Alan Davis takes over the ACTION art chores!

Funny I was about to post that same point, though I know he is exclusive to Marvel.

I don't know which is worse, the blatant huckstering of "news sources" like Wizard and Newsarama, or the incredible willingness of us fans to buy into the hype.

I was laid off once, it sucks.  Sorry to hear about this JB.  At least we can be certain something else will soon replace it.

I don't suppose there's any possibility of Gail and JB being moved to one of the other Superman titles?

Hmmm...  I wouldn't mind seeing the two of them give BATGIRL a try.

Thanks for coming back to Action while you were here, Mr. Byrne.  I enjoyed your return to the book that first brought your work to my attention.  Best of luck in your next endeavors!

I'd like to add a thank you to John too! I've really enjoyed your work on Action, you draw such an awesome Superman and it'll be missed.

Thanks for answering, JB.  I have been reading comics since 1987 and looks like it is finally time for me to write my first letter to a comic book company.

Anyone happen to have the appropriate address handy?
