A thought just drifted thru my fevered brain. Trumf is busy renaming everything he can “America”, but I wonder if this artificial nationalism takes any mind of the fact that the name derives from the Italian navigator Amerigo Vespucci? Does Trumf even know that?

I’d expect that’s been the case for years. Certainly at least since 9/11. I just doubt they’re all housed in the basement of the Lincoln Memorial.
I was thinking the other day about how to separate out the stuff that Trump does that I find offensive and downright ludicrous from how I feel about Trump himself (he makes it pretty difficult). But building a giant, unasked for arch in the middle of our Capitol and then announcing it’s fully armed and operational is something I’d have been repulsed by regardless of which President was behind it.
For the record, the one thing the Trump administration has done this time around that I haven’t had a problem with is discontinuing the minting of pennies.

I love how he's letting everybody in the world know exactly where a high-level arsenal will be located. Is he going to paint a target on it too?
Also, is this really for terror threats or is he saying this as a warning to civilians who may get out of line?

I agree with James. If the arch gets built before the 2028 election I expect it will be used to quell the crowds who come to drag Trump out of the capital.

I can’t see the Dems actually demolishing Trump’s ego-builds. That would take a tremendous expenditure of taxpayer dollars—not to mention reading as incredibly petty. We’ll be stuck with his excesses for a long time.
