Kind of an amusing story I suppose:
During the summer of 2003, I worked on a small independent film that was shooting in Western Massachusetts. The male lead was J.D. Cullum, who is the son of noted stage & small screen (and occasional big screen) actor John Cullum (SHENANDOAH, 1776 and "Northern Exposure"). I guess the son (or the filmmakers) pulled a small favor, and his father had a bit-part towards the end of the film, in which I acted face-to-face with the noted thespian. My (future) wife and mother-in-law were both over-the-moon that I was working with "the" John Cullum, and he even graciously signed my wife's vinyl copy of SHENANDOAH (which she ordered me to bring to set!).
Cut to about 6 months later, and I heard through another actor on the film that entire project caved-in... the film was being directed by two college-age filmmakers, and rumor was that their relationship went kaput during post-production--because they both were fighting for the affections of the film's script girl. So that little movie (titled "Help Wanted," I believe), never saw the light of day.
Cue over 20 years later, and my son was watching one of the seasons of the new TED series on Peacock... JD Cullum (the son) had a small bit part as a butler of some kind, and I didn't even recognize him at first. When I read the credits, I exclaimed to my son, "Hey!! I worked with that guy once! AND his dad!!!"
