The only complicating factor I see is where contemporary gatekeepers of fine art trading come up against the bizarre world of comic art collectors, so provenance, discovery, and recovery of original work could be... COMplicated, to say the least. But some of that realignment is already happening within places like Sotheby's and the like, now that even stuff like Wrightson's Frankenstein cover can sell for over a million dollars. Nothing like money to make even the snootiest people pay attention.
