This is the rule I don't fastidiously subscribe to*. Farther obviously does work for distance, but I maintain further also works in most of these instances.For example: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx23p6j5gxgo*Note I also do not subscribe to a presposition not being able to go at the end of a sentence.
