What an amazing life and legacy!

(I will add that as a kid I had a big crush on the young Ms. Goodall.)

I’m sad to learn of Jane Goodall’s death. Her work with chimpanzees and lifelong dedication to conservation leave behind an extraordinary legacy.

Big impact on this science loving kid in the 80s.

One of the brightest spots of humanity - and a sad loss - but we are hugely enriched through her work.

I'd hope to reach 91 and have made anything like the same impact (currently edging on 60, and my major adventures seem to be taking the bins out weekly, so not looking good)

Her book, “In The Shadow of Man”, is an excellent read on her research. Surprisingly push back by the scientific community (at the time).  We have lost a great human being…

Further to Gary’s comment, CTV News played an interview clip with her where she discussed presenting her first report in Europe.  The old boys club was horrified that she had named the chimps, rather than assign them numbers like a proper scientist should.  There was huge push back to her assertion that chimps have individual personalities, because that was reserved for humans.  That last thought seems ridiculous to anyone who owns two or more pets of the same species.
