Looking over the last few issues of ELSEWHEN, I found myself wondering if I had successfully imparted to you an important distinction between the seemingly similar powers of Ashley and Pablo.

While Ashley is basically a puppeteer (I even considered that for her superhero code name), Pablo actually gives LIFE to the things he animates.

Show of hands—who picked up on that?

I could not have explained it. I do feel like that’s what I was sensing— Pablo
worked through the things he manipulated from the inside out. Ashley was
something else I figured I would catch on to when it became important.
