Well, tomorrow morning at some point I'll be in the operating room and they'll be running a catheter up to my heart to see what's going on. At that point they'll determine whether they need to put in a stent or not.  Odds are I'll probably have the stent put in. “

Best wishes for a speedy recovery from The Great White North!

And isn’t it amazing how far medicine has come on this problem in our lifetime!   Something as serious as a heart attack can be defused by making a 5 mm incision and using catheters to open an artery.  I call that incredible!

Get well soon, Kevin!

Lately, I have been worried about my cholesterol. To
improve my diet, I am trying to cut back on red meat and
eat a salad (no dressing) with every meal.

Once again thank you for all that well wishes, I truly appreciate it.

So here's the deal, apparently I had four blockages, three at 95% and one at 100%.  This resulted in me getting 3 stents and 1 angioplasty.  Even the doctor was shocked at how well I was doing when he saw my EKG readings before the operation.  In the end it was on the table for about three and a half to 4 hours getting all this work done. I'm doing very well right now, I slept most of the day, but now here it is just after midnight in Chicago area and I cannot sleep...

Regardless, I should be going home tomorrow, or rather, today at some point.
