Based on his skills as an artist, his character as a man and his influence in the world of art, Jose certainly deserves a nod on this day/

What an artist. I remember going to a con when I was a kid and he had a table. I think I was too shy to ask him to sign the comic I brought so I asked my brother to do it. Dammit, younger me!

Two years older than me, and 200 times more talented. Hope he has a good day.

"Two years older than me, and 200 times more talented."**Only 200? The arrogance! ;)
OH and edit to add, of course, Happy Birthday JLGL, a long time favourite of mine!

I love his work! One of the artists that drew a perfect Superman.

an absolute legend... his work being the mainstream/noncomic fan's version of the characters still to this day.
Not close to JB in terms of sustained runs on fan favorite titles with memorable, enduring storylines.
But there is obviously a place for multiple legends, and he is definitely the hero of mainstream crossover appeal!

Happy Birthday!
I've been on a JLGL bender the last few months after getting his Deadman and Legend of the Dark Knight collections and then the incredible DC Style Guide. Heaven!

Happy day to him! I bought a JLGL booklet, signed, for $5 at a convention. Worth so much more than the $100 "celebrity" autographs! What a joy to just look at his art!

The JLGL DC Style Guide that was released in 2024 is amazing and worth every penny.
