So I was doing my research for Alpha Flight #6 and came across something that surprised me in that I had not seen anything on it before. Now Alpha Flight #6 was released in October of 1983 though it has a January 1984 cover date. Given the release date, I can assume it was worked on as early as June of 1983 or even earlier. The initial story in that issue, is "Snowblind", all by JB.
There was another book, a novel actually, that came out around that time (January of 1984) titled "The Snowblind Moon", by John Byrne Cooke, son of Masterpeiece Theater's Alistair Cooke. He was also the Road Manager for Janis Joplin in the 60's. A musician, photographer and documentary film maker.
I just find it so interesting that two writers with very similar names would have stories published around the same time with very similar titles.
Coincidence? I think so, but still, I have to ask.
JB, were you even aware of this back then?
