Just saw a post from Frank Cho on Instagram that Jim Silke had passed away at 93. Was a legend, remember reading a number of his books in the 90's and early 2000's.

His are one of the few remaining books other than your own and George's that I still keep up in my office and not boxed in the basement

What an excellent artist. His work was always welcome in my eyes. He was one of the few who mashed up comic books and pin-up work to create something classic. I never realized which generation he came from before. Rest in Peace, Jim Silke!

Damn. I had no reason to assume by looking at his work that he was much younger, but I did.
