I thought it would be interesting if they did a story where the Leader and Mad Thinker met, and decided to switch foes.

Though I suspect the FF would defeat the Leader faster than the Hulk would.

Brian, you just put an idea in my head! Have The Leader, The Mad Thinker, and The (Wingless) Wizard form a villainous group called "The Think Tank." LOL!

Matt - that is funny but there was a team up of villains: Leader, Thinker, Wizard, Modok, Red Ghost and a few more called the "intelligence" in the Jeff Parker Hulk run - great minds :)

I like Jeff Parker as a writer - very old school sensibility. Does not ignore continuity but is not hamstrung by it nor does he make it feel like homework. Worth checking out.

Jean, thanks for the info. I had to check on when Parker wrote the Hulk. It appears he was on the book when I still had my brick and mortar shop, and I did order the series, but never got around to reading to issues, it appears. I will have to check them out sometime.

Wasn’t there a Spidey Intellectual Stories in the comedy issue of What If?

Matt:
Even though it deals with the Red Hulk for part of his run - I think you will enjoy the Jeff Parker run on hulk - old school style writing with fun ties to Marvel continuity: Machine Man, the Eternals, etc.

I also really enjoyed his various Agents of Atlas mini series which dealt with that 1950s iteration of the Avengers from What if (Marvel Boy, Venus, the Robot, etc). Again a nice modern use of Marvel history in fun stories. Great clean line art by Leonard Kirk as well.

I would have liked to see The Leader as part of the selected group in Acts of Vegeance.
