Neal Adams told a story about his arrival at Marvel, and Stan Lee told him that when an artist works at multiple companies at the same time, they have them use pen names, instead. Neal basically said "Yeah, no, I won't be doing that", and Stan said "Oh, ok" - and that single-handedly ended the practice at Marvel.

Neal’s first credit at Marvel was “introducing”—despite all his previous work at DC.

I am so glad that you started this thread, Peter - I have never read this series, and it was a joy to read it for the first time in the treasury size/format. Seeing JB's first issue art in this size for the first time was awesome. I think the last JB treasury we saw for JB was ROMULANS, so this is a nice surprise.
When this thread started, I misread the link and thought it was a different mini-series - I thought they were referring to "The Many Deaths of the Batman," written by JB with art by Jim Aparo. It's one of my all time favorites, and I hope that gets the treasury treatment one day. Aparo did amazing interior art, and JB's covers for each issue were instant classics.

Considering prices on regular-sized comic books these days, $20 for a 72-page Treasury-sized edition isn't too bad.

$20 for the foil cover version. The standard version is only $12.99!

Oh, and not square bound, so not really a Treasury Edition. ***** I just noticed my BATMAN/HULK isn’t square bound. Only the SUPERMAN/SPIDER-MAN is.

To be fair, the Batman vs Hulk is a DC Special Series. Issues # 27.
