Hey Trevor... not sure if any are making their way up to Canada, but DC has been leading the charge for a treasury facsimile edition revival since late last year--lots of '70s golden oldies are available again, for MUCH cheaper prices than what's usually asked-for online and in comic shops:

Oh, and not square bound, so not really a Treasury Edition.

Wasn't aware of this issue. Byrne/Aparo is a win-win

Thanks for that info, Shaun. Hopefully I'll be able to
find them here.

Edit: found a retailer online and snagged the Superman Vs
Flash, the Batman/Ra's, and the Batman All-Villain! Thanks
again, Shaun!

You're welcome, Trevor!  If I'm not mistaken, I think DC started the ball rolling last year with a re-release of the SUPERMAN VS. MUHAMMAD ALI treasury, which had been prohibitively expense (to me) for years.  More than happy to purchase the facsimile edition... then they kept going!

Doesn't sound like Marvel is jumping on the bandwagon any time soon... but fingers crossed they're able to at least get the DC/Marvel crossovers out again.  I've never owned SUPERMAN VS. SPIDER-MAN... that's my "holy grail" of '70s treasuries!

I’d love a Bicentennial Battles.

I got my copy probably around 10 years ago and it was quite affordable. Not
a mint condition copy by any means, but not a ragged one either. I believe I
got it for less than $20. Same with Batman/Hulk.

My original copy of SvsS-M was falling apart from sheer age, but I was fortunate to find a NM copy in a local antique shop. $20.

Don’t know if it was so cheap because they didn’t know what they had, or if it really isn’t considered a hot commodity by modern collectors.

Checking eBay prices just now, it seems to be hotter than it was when I got
mine. Most listings are in the triple digits. Very few under $100

“Shooter called you a quisling. “
****************
I have read that Jim Warren, publisher of the Warren horror magazines, was horribly abusive to the artists who worked for him.  Similar to Shooter, he would insult artists for working for other publishers.  One artist finally put Warren in his place saying “ If you want me to work for no one else, then give me work to keep me busy full time.  Hire me on salary.”  That was the end of the discussion.
