Just came upon yet another reference to how hard I am to work with. Once more by someone never employed anywhere I worked and, of course, providing no evidence.

I wonder how people like this would feel if all someone needed to disparage them was “I heard that……”?

Hey, it's worked for much of the political nonsense that
has been fanned to life, over the past few decades. No
references, sources or facts needed, to heard up the masses
and feed the flames of discontent.

I admit that I am surprised that this is even an issue, but if the goal is to counter a smear to one's reputation (the use of the term, "yet", did cock my eyebrow) then it's a simple matter of having those who can credibly speak to their experiences voicing their witness to the contrary.

Must be kind of weird to read stuff about yourself that isn't true - let alone  negative stuff! One of the drawbacks of social media for sure

One of the reasons I approve of being called a legend. Legends are made up of stories that are mostly not true.

The internet gives a platform for people to regurgitate these type of things as hard facts, and sadly, some people take them as exactly that.

I've seen statements from thirtysomethings about the ongoing Lee-Ditko-Kirby debates (who did what) - all stating that they know the truth. Of course, they weren't there. To be fair, it also doesn't help when people like Alan Moore misquote what has been said before.

Regarding being difficult to work with - do they mean working with someone who has strong opinions?

The funniest negative Byrne comment I read recently was that your Superman vs. Legion of Super-Heroes cover was lazy because you just copied the cover of the Fantastic Four vs Gladiator.
I would have explained to to them, but if they need it explained, well....

They must not know about the seven times I’ve borrowed the cover of FF 1!

I sure hope one ever lazily copies that cover of X-Men 141 you drew! (Need to stop now as this could go on all day....)

Who has collaborated more than John Byrne? Those who have know what it
takes. But that’s a pretty elite group.

People who collaborate that much are not hard to work with.
