Very early in our working relationship, I visited New York around Thanksgiving, and Chris invited me to his birthday party. I thought how lucky he was to have his birthday fall on the yummiest holiday of the year.

In those days, I didn’t know how T’day actually worked.

Heh...just yesterday, I had one housemate wising me a happy
birthday. The other said, "I thought your birthday was
Thanksgiving?" "Some years it is." I replied.

(I was, in fact, born on Thanksgiving Day, 1966)

Happy Birthday, Mr. Claremont!

I, too, was born on Thanksgiving (1970). It syncs up every ten years or so, with two memorable ones:

1) 1979: visiting my mom's family, they had a Baskin Robbins ice cream turkey cake with mint chocolate chip (my favorite!) cone drumsticks

2) 2020: my 50th birthday fell right on the day, but due to the pandemic it was just myself and my wife; given how people tend to pass out of your life as you age, it felt symbolic

Chris is one of those guys (along with Lee, Ditko, JB, Ross Andru, Miller, Perez) who gave me huge enjoyment via comics when I was growing up.

Happy B'Day Mr C!
