Looking for fun distraction, I recall a funnier era when newspapers had beloved comics sections capable of driving news cycles.
If you had to pick one strip as your all-time favorite, what would it be?
I’d have to say… um… Pogo.

If we're limited to daily newspapers, then it would be hard to beat Peanuts for me. If newsweeklies are allowed, I might go with Carol Lay's Story Minute, which just edges out Feiffer and Life in Hell.

When I was a kid I was a big Wizard of Id fan, probably because my grandfather was. I still like looking back at old strips of that series.
