I can’t find this quote anywhere, but I recall reading you describe your work
as being a combo of “layouts by so-and-so, starting pencils by another
influence, and finishing pencil by a third artist/influence.”

I confess, I have tried to put words in your mouth before by
misremembering quotes, but does this ring a bell at all? I believe it would
have referred to how you saw your work at that time and I think the three
names filling in the blanks were Neal Adams, Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby—
but I couldn’t say who went where!

I hope I didn’t make this whole thing up somehow!
