I said long ago Haley would make a better President than Biden or Trump. Not because of D vs R policies, but because she's competent and knows how to run a government. We wouldn't be as worried that she couldn't handle a crisis, for example. However, the GOP is not going to nominate a woman anytime soon.

We need someone from the press to ask Harris if she will certify the election.
Then she can say she's considering Trump's argument that she has the power to refuse certification.

That would be funny, except for the fact that he would straight-faced deny he ever said that.

Inflation was key to the loss for the Democrats. Telling people inflation was under control, when anyone who buys groceries knows different, was just one more nail in the coffin.

Every Democrat up for re-election in the PA House has won.
Every single one... so tell me, how did Harris NOT win Pennsylvania?
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, and I’m not psychic, but I have afeeling this election saga isn’t over yet.

Some red states didn't allow federal election monitors.
I do not see how they were allowed to have a choice.

The “key” was just “one more nail in the coffin”.
I will be glad when this post-mortum phase ends.
America voted in the felon who has no actual plans to help anyone but himself.
He will sail on the fair winds of a zero unemployment, $2.75 a gallon, record stock market economy that ALREADY EXISTS because of the Biden/Harris admin.
The fact that so many theories compete to explain how we got here should tell us no one knows how we got here— except that more than half of voters want what Trump is selling.

They literally voted for TARIFFS to lower inflation. That's how fucking dumb they are.

It looks like the Democrats still have a chance of taking back the House. Republicans are in the lead but as of this morning the gap seems to be closing.

I hope you are not implying some sort of election fraud. That would be the exact same specious argument (under-performance relative to party peers further down on the ticket) that the Trumpies were using in 2020.
It's notable that in every single swing state in which there was a Senatorial election, Harris significantly under-performed relative to the Senatorial candidate. It's a nationwide phenomenon, not just in PA. Why is the question. Was it racism? Was she just too closely tied to Biden and the overall perception the economy as poor? Or was she a weak candidate who ran a below-average campaign? All of the above?
If it's any consolation, the fact that Bob Casey lost Pennsylvania suggests that it just wasn't in the cards for Democrats this year, probably because of the economy. A hypothetical "better" (or whiter, maler) Presidential candidate might have performed better, but likely wouldn't have won the Keystone State either.

When people talk about inflation they mean two different things. The inflation RATE is under control, in the sense that it's down to 2.4%. But the fact that the inflation rate is down doesn't mean that prices go back to what they were before the inflation rate started rising. That's what the public seems to be expecting, for prices to drop substantially. That's not going to happen. There's going to be a bit of a rude awakening for the Trumpies who think he has the magic power to make prices go back to where they were in 2019.

…..
And the same thing that Trump was setting up to excuse his loss, for months before and immediately prior to his win. Ridiculous that he was claiming huge fraud in Philly…. Before he won the state.
