Let me sidetrack for a moment to once again recommend CLEOPATRA - A LIFE by Stacey Schiff. Most informative—and a fun read.

My friend's godmother is Kitty Pride, so I am connected to everyone in the Marvel Universe.

Ah, no. This game does not allow for jumps between reality and fiction!

Cheers JB, I grabbed it on iBooks.

Back onto the topic of 'degrees of separation', and I wonder if we could play a variation in which we try to find the longest chain between any two Marvel or DC characters within their respective universes.

I have cousin who is married to a screenwriter who has had
a couple of real hollywood movies made so I'm guessing I
would only be a couple degrees away from about...anyone!

Writers being ghettoized as they are, if I were you I would not be too quick to assume your cousin has actually MET too many stars!

Yeah, I thought about that after my post. I imagine fancy
Hollywood parties and lots of rubbing of the elbows but I
guess I really don't know. My cousin herself worked for the
Arsenio Hall show so that's probably a more direct link to
an unlimited list of celebrities.

In the late 40s my dad was traveling with a Canadian friend thru Europe, and while they were in London on a lark they decided to ask to meet Princess Elizabeth.

She agreed, since my dad's friend was one of her possibly future subjects.

They spent about an hour together, chatting about their travels and world events and such.

I don't use this meeting when playing this game.
