Musk has slowly been allowing his inner white supremacist to creep out. That op-ed he wrote in Germany that stumped for voters to preserve German ‘cultural integrity’ was really chilling.

Half the country voted him back in

**************************

Actually about 32% of the country did. Over 36% didn't vote.  Oh, and almost 31% of the country voted for Kamala.

The percentage argument will never work, no matter what voting system is
in play.
If we use the percentage argument against someone we don’t like, it will be
used against someone we do like.

We have to accept the person who won an election, won the election,
unless there is provable fraud.
Was there fraud in 2024? I don’t know. Musk certainly joked about being
sent to jail if Trump didn’t win, & there have been other comments too.

It might be the truth, it might be trolling.
But we can’t argue against the percentage number of people who voted
for/against as whether a person should be in power.

That’s currently being used against the British PM & it makes me sick.

Seems more commentary about the plurality of Americans not voting than an attempt to disqualify the election results.

Well, Elon just did the Nazi salute.

Did he? Looked more like a KLINGON salute to me!

My 15 year old so. Did a bingo card for Trump’s speech. Got a ridiculous
amount correct.

Trumf’s “sweeping pardon” of Jan 6 insurrectionists sets the tone, doesn’t it? An indicted criminal president tears apart the laws that took indicted criminals off the streets.

It can only get worse from here. I just hope the ones who voted for him suffer as much as the rest of us.

Just listening to a segment on the J6 pardons on WNYC. A policeman called in (sounded like he was doing so from a Cagney movie) who was extremely in favor of them, saying Biden's pardons "were a thousand times worse" and that "speaking for police officers everywhere, we know which party has our backs".

Lies and (extreme) hypocrisy are becoming the new normal.

The internet was described as the Information Highway, but it has become precisely the opposite. Anything can be spewed across our screens, and if anyone wants to fact-check (which few, it seems, do) they will have to penetrate a miasma of misinformation to find anything close to the truth.
