Van Dyke also offered the grim prognostication that, at 99, he will not have to live long under Trumf’s presidency.

Would there be a Secretary of Education if they plan to shutter that department?
***********************
Who better to shutter than MTG?
And the Gaetz announcement as AG should have had accompanying Benny Hill music playing.

Gaetz's theme music should be more like David Cameron's 'End of Empire' tune from his post-Brexit resignation.

I cannot shake the feeling that Trumf wants to push everything as far as he can, just to see how far he can get.

I feel you JB, within one week it appears 2025 will be a shit show on purpose. Economic wise he's incorporating all bad business actors like Musk, Bezos while Vance has Peter Thiel on his side who seem to run with the ideology of Acceleratism to just crash the economy to start anew with them already in cushy position to declare themselves as our next rulers. On the social side he going to drive that wedge between everyone with laws that will put people into a frenzy to the point of civil unrest, pure chaos. Evet since 2017 the way Drumph ruled was always chaotic and kept reminding me of a quote from Sun Tzu:"In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity". That "Opportunity" sure as hell aint for us.
Now with these appointments it just fuels my suspicions more.

I had a department manager years ago ( I work in IT ) and he volunteered to take over the Logistics department when their VP retired. He wasn't very technical as far as IT goes, but knew enough to let the people under him do their jobs and he would just sign off on things.
So he decided to take on the equivalent of 2 full time jobs and became VERY hands on in Logistics ( customer service, warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment etc ) and by all accounts was terrible at the job, so much so that he was fired from the company after 2 years of taking on the 2nd job.
Long story short, he did about 5 years worth of damage in 2 years according to the guy who was hired to replace him.
I have to wonder with all these new appointments ( now RFK Jr, yikes! ) how many years of damage will Trump do in the next 4 years.

Do I seem wrong if I say everything indicates Trump wants to control America in exactly the way Putin controls Russia?
I think that is accurate in every respect. It seems that, collectively, every position he adopts or idea he proposes suits this goal, and this goal only.

** What is it with useless comments like this?
Really? You don’t mean “implying” or “hinting” or “indicating something like that is motivating him”— he’s “only” been “saying it” for nine years? Neat.
Then you should have no trouble pointing us to one single instance of him “saying it” right? I mean after doing it constantly for 9 years now?
At any rate, identifying his actual aims would be a useful step for those of us who aim to do what can be done to thwart him.
