No, it's by no means a point and laugh over here. Our former First Minister pretty obviously despised Trump and resented having to even acknowledge him when he was President.
So we're looking in horror at what's going on now. And aghast at so many Americans overlooking Trump's history of abuse to put him in power once again. It's a real sad indictment of modern society, that he can break so many laws with impunity, commit so much deplorable, and downright evils acts, and not only suffer no consequences for it, but actually be rewarded with the highest office in the land.
It is beyond understanding how a population so large can only come up with one eligible candidate for opposing this abomination of a man. And one who might be sadly doomed to failure in opposing him because of all the rascists and misogynists out there.
Winston Churchill over here was one of many throughout the years who tried to remind us that "Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." And this horrific car crash of a political fiasco, is looking like it's going to prove the truth of that saying, yet again.
It's enough to make anyone weep for the future of this species to be honest, and want to get off this planet before we completely self destruct this world.
