Geraldo Rivera just dropped the mic and walked away fromTeam Trump. ("Former President Trump is a sore loser who cannot be trusted to honor the Constitution.")
He's voting for Kamala Harris. I love a plot twist!

Gosh, if she's locked up the Geraldo vote, she can't lose!
Seriously, I wonder what prompted this? Geraldo is not a complete idiot, so he certainly isn't just now suddenly realizing what type of person Trump is. It's not exactly new news that he's a "sore loser who can't be trusted to honor the Constitution." Why make the move now?

Here's how I see this panning out (from a UK perspective):
Trump vs Clinton in 2016: Trump gets most of the racists and all the misogynists.
Trump vs Biden in 2020: Trump gets most of the racists and most of the misogynists.
Trump vs Harris in 2024: Trump gets ALL the racists and ALL the misogynists.
Good luck, folks.

We’re not the only ones who’ll need extra luck when Trumf gets back in.

One thing that's sticking in my craw is the schadenfreude that we're getting (including on this board!) from non-Americans on the potential re-election of Trump, a sort of Nelson Munz-style point and laugh at our predicament. Apart from all the reasons I find it personally off-putting, does no-one recognize the global danger of a fascist superpower?

Trumf is seen as a dangerous clown, emphasis on clown. The rest of the world seems determined to laugh at America, and largely dismiss the consequences of a sociopath in the White House.

From an outside-looking-in perspective, believe me, I don't know many who want Trump to win. That's the British and Nova Scotian consensus, as far as I can tell. I think in the Canadian Prairies that view would be different, but it wouldn't be a Nelson Munz type deal. It would be a scarier kind of aligning.
