Not since the first episode of the first season. Why do you ask?

There was a cat on there this current season that argued with everybody
that “several” meant “seven.”

Ah. No..

1 = single
2 = a couple
3-6 = a few
7-11 = several
12 = a dozen
13 = a bakers’ dozen
20 = a score

Interesting. My 'several' is lower than that.

We finally get a thread that discusses JB's work, and you guys are drifting the
shit out of it.

Does anyone have a good guess as to how many named characters JB has created over the course of his comic book career?

Ooh, that might be tough. Would that include co-created, or characters like Supergirl (Matrix), Wonder Girl (Cassie)?

During the Blade lawsuit, Marv Wolfman declared under oath that I did not create any characters. So, awaiting my turn to testify, I started jotting down names, ranging from minor background characters to ones like Alpha Flight who got their own titles. Later that day Marvel’s lawyers showed me Wolfman’s own list, and I saw that he claimed costumed characters and secret identities as separate creations. Based on that model, I virtually doubled my list.

My final figure was around 175. And that was 25 years ago.

Why on earth would a topic like that come up in that lawsuit, Blade/Wolfman, one wonders bewilderedly?

Wolfman’s lawyers had failed during my initial deposition to learn what I would be saying on the stand. I think Wolfman’s statement, prompted by his lawyer, was a ploy to discredit me before I gave testimony.

If so, it backfired, since the first thing Marvel’s lawyer asked me under oath was if I had created any characters.

It seemed to me he would’ve fared better if Nova was the one to go to the
wall for. He had already self-published the character in his fanzines and it
clearly predated his introduction in Marvel comic books. But, a Nova movie
wasn't being made.
