For me there was a kind of magic in the Alpha Flight characters in having so much backstory implied in such a small amount of panels. Things like the history between Diamond Lil and Madison Jeffries. The reciprocal faith that seemed to exist between Guardian and Roger Bochs. Allusions to Puck's previous adventures, with the likes of the Bronze Bishop. And so on. Loved it.

As a Canadian, I'm going with the super-hero team, characters JB created for Alpha Flight. My fave members are Puck and Sasquatch. Puck's a tough cookie and smaller than Canucklehead Wolverine.

I'm going to say the Next Men. I loved the series and all the characters. I don't think I ever had a favorite among them though.

I loved the new villains introduced in the Superman titles:
Silver Banshee Bloodsport (subsequently ruined by others) The Host Psi-Phon and Dreadnaught
I also enjoyed many of the characters from Marvel: The Lost Generation, and wish we could have seen more of them.

I really liked that Doom Patrol series, got them all... the ones before with an All-New All-Different roster plus Robotman (albeit in a new frame initially) and even the Steve Lightle drawn relaunch didn't gel at all for me (I still haven't read those ones with Flex Mentallo the tv series was drawing from however, though I did enjoy the tv series well enough).
