Just saw Walt Simonson post about his passing.

Over the many years on this forum I've praised his work over JB's pencils. I felt that he was easily one of JB's top 5 best inkers - remaining compatabile with his changing style over 3 decades and never overpowering his work while leaving his distinct stamp at the same time. Loved his work on BOTD - he had such a chaotic line that really served the book well.

We keep losing the great ones, even more frequently the past few years :(

Awww, so sad. Loved Dan Green's inking skills, especially when he took on JB's pencils... condolences to his family & friends.

-C!

One of my prized possessions is his Doctor Strange graphic novel from the mid-80s.  A gifted draughtsman across media, and one who I wish had done more work in comics during the era - but I caught an exhibit of his landscape and domestic paintings in the early 90s, and completely understood where he needed to be.  RIP.

Aw damn. One of my favorite inkers. And as Dave says above, that Doctor
Strange graphic novel is absolutely gorgeous.

So sad to hear. I was always happy to pick a new issue of anything and see his name as the inker.

Mr. Green was a talented inker who left behind a lot of great work.
