 | Sitting in my living room and noticing how very strange is the color of the light coming in thru my big windows. C’mon Canada! Cut it out!

near Shelburne (the biggest in the province's recorded
history) is still raging. And now Quebec is on fire too!

Eerie yellow haze out there, and a not-appealing odor.

I'm also keeping my windows shut. CIAC tournaments scheduled for today have been postponed due to poor air quality:

co2 levels of 364pmm+ in my area of Northern New York. I think we first started getting smoked out early Monday, and it's not letting up any time soon. Outdoor events being cancelled left and right, which really sucks considering this area is heavily dependent on tourists and there's only a short window to capitalize on the good weather up here.

I’ve lived all but two summers of my life in California, and most of the last several have seen exactly what you’re all experiencing now. It’s awful. I hope it clears up for you soon and you don’t have to go through it again, but we know that’s not the case.

Used to get numbers pushing 800 or higher in China, before they cleaned up Shanghai.

Here in northern Virginia, the air is murky and reeks of wood smoke. It's pretty awful.

Canada says sorry, eh.  But if the US could start actually trying to stop climate change, that would really help us out.

Tianjin was interesting in that over a period of a few days, the air quality
would decrease, until there was a rain storm which cleared the air & the
 cycle would repeat.

Step one to finding somebody to blame.

Step two might include "nobody suspects Canadians". :^)

Having lived through the world looking like twilight all day and the sun a floating orange or even a tomato a few times I think of all those with respiratory issues. :^(
