Yesterday my fuzzy old brain drifted back to the long-ago abandoned JSA/Invaders project. (Remember?)Suddenly I found pages forming whole in my minds eye. Much like how ELSEWHEN happened. A page. Then another page. Then another page. I quickly realized this was happening because I was not binding myself to GENERATIONS “continuity”. I was just letting it happen, much as it would have before GENERATIONS. Frustrating, since I still felt no desire to actually sit down and draw it. Humph!

Get that plotting down on paper ASAP!Like a dream those scenes in your head may be fleeting, the desire to draw may return in the future.

The Axis vs. JSA & Invaders— how could they stand a chance?
Ah, but put Red Skull, Ultra-Humanite, Zemo, and the rest into the mix
and it’s a mighty struggle.
It’s interesting how imagining veritable gods and Demi-gods being
involved in WWII feels somehow so appropriate. It’s almost like the
horrors of the war are great enough that retelling it with super-beings is
a way of grappling with the inconceivable. (Of course, it basically
happened in real time at the dawn of super-heroes, but there is
something interesting about why it was such a successful combination.)

My memory isn't what it used to be, but I feel like JB did a few loose costume doodles of JSA/Invaders doppelgangers and posted them? Am I remembering this correctly?
Edit: This would have been over a decade ago, probably way longer than that.
