I can't believe Elsewhen came, and I can't believe it's gone.  Best thing to happen to comics in decades.  Grateful, and sad, at the same time.

It occurs to me that I've never actually read the WHEELIE AND THE CHOPPER BUNCH series.

Not have I. I’ve never even really seen it available anywhere to purchase so I
can read it.

Avengers West Coast or Namor the Sub-Mariner... or full circle to your first Marvel series, Iron Fist?

JB - this series did a exceptional job of fleshing out some of the characters we know and love. Kitty Pryde was a particular standout. If that was one of your intentions, mission accomplished!

Certainly there was a desire on my part to present Kitty as I had intended. Chris started steamrolling over my version right from her first appearance. One of the many reasons I am reluctant to call our time together a true “collaboration”.

I had one Wheelie from when it was new, but I haven't been able to decide if I remember the cover of one enough to say that was the issue I'd had. Later I bought a copy of #1 I ran across, and that's the only one I know it wasn't (I think there was a text illo or two for JB content in it however).

I picked up some Excalibur comics cheapish starring Kitty; three are written by Claremont and a sort of St. Trinian's girl's school story. Aside from being Shadowcat with the mad ninja skills she was portrayed well enough I thought (down to Alan Davis initially perhaps?), and I really disliked some of the post X-Men #143 appearances!

Speaking of old Marvel projects, I recall you having a big hand in the Atlantis Attacks annual crossover event. Namor's presence seemed to end on a much quieter note than expected, though. Were there bigger plans that were changed because of time, etc.?

Some things to check off:

* Kitty fixed (not a ninja)!
* Magneto fixed (da' bum)!
* Wolverine fixed (including backstory)!
* Jean Grey fixed (best of all IMO)!
* Dark Phoenix fixed (as a villain...TBC)!

Have I forgotten any?  These four/five were major restorations...all of the others too, to varying degrees.

Cyclops not a jerk?

Professor X not a bad guy (basically)?

Those two addressed the creeping blight that has come into comics over the past few decades, namely the almost pathological need to tear down authority figures.
