One of my favorite Pérez pin-ups from DC Comics Presents celebrating Superman plus his co-stars from the first 36 issues of that series -

The recolored version ( LINK to the full sized version) -

Good call on "Games" Charles - I have a hardback that I am making my way
around to as I continue to slowly savor his stellar New Teen Titans run.

Sounds good, Joe.
I'm slowly working my way thru the first NTT Omnibus myself. Enjoy!

That page from X-Men annual 3.

Bob Layton is often spoken of in terms of being the perfect artist for metal -
based, I think, on Iron Man.

But look @ that page! Perez was perfect for metal - but he could also do the
rest as well!

& yes, GAMES. I missed when that came out, but bought it in digital a few
years back. Was such a pleasure to meet up one last time with those
characters as they used to be.

I miss Starfire & Cyborg

One of several George stories, I was at Dragon Con late one night, and at Dragon Con most everyone crowds the big hotel lobbies in costume, while others go around and just enjoy the cosplay and take pictures.

Me and my friends were walking back from dinner and taking pictures along the way when we saw some really great cosplayers of Zod and his two cohorts from "Superman II."  Honestly, they looked just like them. They were posing dramatically as a photographer was on the ground in front of them getting a dramatic shot looking up at them.

The photographer popped up from taking his pictures - and it was George, just as excited to seeing the cool cosplayers as the rest of us.

I asked if I could take a picture with him and he gave his standard 'of course!' I got my picture, we had a quick laugh and all of us disappeared into the throngs of attendees.

But, to me, that was George, a BIGGER fan than all of us, just as happy to be at the party. And even happier to be the life of said party!

Memories for this week - George Pérez had such an underrated run on The Brave and the Bold

Also, I absolutely LOVE this Batman Illustration from his 1989 Batman Portfolio -
