If you don't know the reference JB cited with respect to what's in store for Logan--which we'd see as a four issue miniseries were Marvel doing it--it's... rather troubling.

I'm a day late but that panel of Wolverine with the
Invaders is one of the greatest single superhero panels
I've ever seen! I'm so ready for INVADERS: THE HIDDEN
YEARS with this exact team!!

Considering this is fanfic, provided to readers at no cost, there shouldn't be any issues with the Invaders that wouldn't have arisen with the X-Men or appearances by other Marvel characters. On that basis, you likely have nothing stopping you from doing an Invaders title.
