Not Brand Echh from 1967.  Here's #3 with Sore on the cover.

For a cover I'd just readjust the panel with Thor in it flying in to be the cover - that would work nicely as a selling point.  Add in a line "Thor vs X-Men, nuff said'

On one of our D&D games ages ago, we came across a magic hammer. Written on it was "Whoever holds this shall be Thor!"
We tried to pick it up but it animated itself and hit whoever tried, over and over.
After we gave up, a voice from the hammer said, "Pretty 'thor,' aren't you?"

Good gravy, Colossus vs. Volstagg was better than I could have ever hoped for – in two panels, no less.

It's a terrific fight but hopefully Jean can help Sif realize "these aren't the mutants you're looking for."

Wow, page 10 is fantastic. Panel 2 is eye catching to say the least, but Lady Sif in the last panel is nothing it sneeze at either.

JB, how many years into your career before you could conceive of a panel like 2 with Colossus vs. Volstag and pull it off visually? There is almost nothing conventional about that panel and seems like a challenge for any artist.

I love the match-up with Volstagg. He may be Asgardian comic relief, but he's still, even if minor, a... god!

Nice page! Took me a minute to see
Colossus stopping the sword with his
hands.

Lovely Sif on today's page!! So gratifying to see characters recognizable from the first panel.

I hope Thor can help our wayward team!

One of those comic moments I find waaaay too funny:
Sore: "I am Mighty Sore!"
Charlie America: "You and me both!"

I like seeing Colossus give Volstagg his own version of the ol' heave ho!
