"Which one is it?!?"
...
Right. Because it doesn't necessarily have to be the Magneto that was talking to have been hit.

Perhaps the one with emotional baggage is gone and we are left with a truly evil villain. Or maybe its the other way around. Time will tell with Magneto's behaviour, but the ambiguity is nice and the solution exciting. Good to have the possibility of a Dr. Doom type villain back with the X-Men.

Combining one "distant" figure with a closer one in silhouette was diabolically clever.

Holy cow, what a setup for Monday!
WHICH X-Men were saved by WHICH Cyclops eyeblast?
WHAT did Pablo do?
WHO was the Magneto that was "SHUK"'ed?
HOW did an exhausted Nightcrawler 'port himself and Logan out of danger's way, when we've seen that that effort exhausts him?
I've been realizing since Amanda and the Black King's deaths that, while you're scratching that itch, YOU'RE making the rules in Elsewhen! (I begin to wonder if Warren and Bobby are coming back for good?!?) And you're a mean one, Mr. Byrne...
I have to say it, Mr. Byrne, with no insult intended:
Tune in Monday! Same X-time! Same X-channel!

My gut is the alt-Magneto but this is JB doing the story so it could be either - I know better than to bet one way or the other now. This is fun to read, as the limits are not there that Marvel would put on a title, but JB still is putting some of those controls on it (find a way for good guys to win no matter what but the cost can be high see poor floppy hands/cooked brain Logan).
I love Wolverine and Nightcrawler being together as the place goes nuts. The two of them worked so well together in that Alpha Flight story near the end of JB's term on X-Men that I love to see them together even if Logan can't remember anything from before his brain was cooked.

Altho I do want to tease it out a bit before I reveal which Magneto got killed, I don’t expect it will be too long before you all get ahead of me.

Which Magneto is an excellent question.
But there is another question that panel prompts for me as well.
