You know, I'm beginning to suspect that this is going to be one of those issues where I get to the end and think "Of course! How did I not see that coming??"

Is it a Borg reference? There is a Borg-related episode of Voyager called Child's Play.

Not sure what's happening with Alt-Jean, but I'm loving your characterisation of the X-Men's Jean Grey.

JB, in the second last panel, I think the line for the top of Alt-Jean's right boot, to separate it from her bare thigh, is missing...

Nah, it just hasn't finished materialising yet.

I'm guessing a Forbidden Planet reference.

Mr. Byrne, all your hint makes me think of is...
Frederick Frankenstein: "Hearts and kidneys are tinker toys! I am talking about the central nervous system!"

After 20 plus issues, this series continues to excite! I can tell, JB, that it's still fun for you to come up with these stories and draw them. When the writer gets bored, it tends to show in the book. Not the case here! Can't wait to see whats next!

Mr.Byrne you have done something with these Fan Fic stores that no modern or contemporary comic has been able to do in over 20 years. I spent this morning reading comics for five hours and loved every minute of it. This is how comics should have been done during the past two decades. I felt transported and after each issue, told my self, “I need to shower and get dressed, I have things to do.” Only to find myself reading the next chapter/issue. I was able to follow the story and knew what was happening. I tried a recent X-Men comic and could not even begin to figure out what was happening. On top of that, you made me want to pick up my pencil and paper and draw again! This is what inspired me in high school to draw and consider becoming a comic artist (oh paths not taken when I graduated in 1985). Thank you for entertaining and inspiring me sir.
