Chris and I intended Dark Phoenix to be a recurring villain—as Jean.

Which is still possible..............

A whole lot of things are now possible. Plenty of anticipation here!

JB: No "hiatus". I start these "issues" on the first Monday of each month. Sometimes that's almost immediately after the previous issue, sometimes there is a gap.

Calendars, am I right?

But I will be working each day, as usual, hopefully pulling a little bit further ahead.

***

Well, we appreciate the commitment to this series. I hope that it has been fun for you, exploring this alternate history, because we've been enjoying the hell out of it.

Thanks again!

Wonderful ending to this issue.

Next: "Parallel Lives Meet at Infinity"

If it's anything like the last JB book that had this as a title, we're in for a doozy!!!!!

Parallel Live Meet at Infinity is a wonderful title. Looking forward to seeing where you take us.

A big thank you for giving us these twenty issues -- it's gone by pretty quickly.

Found this online. Something I'd completely forgotten!!

So long ago, so far away!

(The grey tone was added by—well, not me. In case you’re wondering what’s going on between the little “monkey’s” legs.)

Ah... the beloved fledgling style that first drew me to your work! As much as I enjoyed the humour of E-Man, the adventures of the little silver fella in the back-up strip were the true treasures!

That...is a very different John Byrne!

When you look at that, JB, do you reimagine it in your style today?

Actually, Jim, I get a little depressed, as I don’t see it as being all that far removed from my style today!!

REALLY?!? I only recognized you because of the belt and gun and his face is very old school JB. The rest is completely unrecognizable to me.

I knew artists had trouble evaluating their own work, but...wow.

Too bad we can't take a current page back to that guy so you could watch his head explode.

JB, you are a harsh critic of your own work. But do you ever find in your older stuff some images that make you say, "Actually, that's a pretty good drawing!"?

I have what I call “damn, I’m good!” days.

From the fact that they have a name, you can deduce they don’t happen very often.
