And you said you don’t like drawing four-legged creatures...••• It’s not that I don’t like it. It’s that I’m not very good at it. Altho the subplot/arc being launched by Mrs. Squirrel is going to tax my meager skills.

The panel with the squirrel on the tree facing down is quite convincing.

Well, today’s page disproves THAT notion!

Well, today’s page disproves THAT notion!••• Today’s page proves I can copy photographs. I can draw a reasonably convincing image of a human figure in any position (some quite unlikely) out of my imagination, no reference. Until I can do that with any drawing of a quadruped, I won’t consider myself good at it.

What a great page!
The phrase that leapt to mind is "Did not see THAT coming!"
If I had a dime for every all-squirrel page in the X-Men universe...

This is gold plated A+ artwork of course, but man I am really, really getting into this story. I don't get all that excited about too much but I look forward to these pages each day after work like you wouldn't believe.
Really wondering just what the flip happened to that squirrel... I feel like I should be able to guess.

JB, one of the few artists I know that can make a page with a squirrel exciting!

For a moment I thought I'd gotten Mark Trail: Elsewhen by accident. As someone who feels Beatrix Potter set the standard for good squirrel art I can definitely see a lot of understanding underneath these drawings! And now I really have no idea where this might be going... and I like it!
