JB - I was re-reading some of the earlier pages and I noticed how good your lettering (and special effects) is. You don't get a lot of credit for that but I know it takes a bit of work!

I can imagine a cover image of two Angels grappling in the air... too '60s DC? Oops, I think the go-go checks just appeared!

Those M belts are pretty important to this latest page. I can imagine if there were color differences it might add a bit of extra support to that: I'm picturing our Angel in dark blue and 'their' Archangel in the semi-despised red. >:^)

The lettering is a font, of course, tho I am careful that the balloon copy takes roughly circular form. Took me a while to learn that!

I am still loving the art but this current storyline is befuddling my brain somewhat what with all the many characters, many of whom are duplicates.

JB, if this were a colour comic, would you instruct for any colour variations to help the narrative?

I don’t think color is really needed. The costumes all have distinctive variations. Keep an eye on those, and you shouldn’t have a problem navigating.

Something about Jean since getting the new hairstyle reminds me of Tom Palmer.

••

Tom wears his hair much shorter.

Vanguard in the ELSEWHEN-verse would be really interesting to see, there wasn't a direct analog to the character in that time frame (or if there was, I sure can't remember him/her).

@Jason: I think ELSEWHEN happens "now", not in the past.
The state of characters in this "universe" is entirely up to JB's creative muse. There's no need to try and untangle continuity.

ELSEWHEN takes place in the Marvel Universe as it was in the early Eighties, but transposed to the 21st Century.

JB,

Well that was switch and it was beautiful!

I've actually seen squirrels in those motions.

How were you able to capture the moment from brain to pencil/paper?

Google Images!

Having the world's greatest visual library in my pocket has had a profound influence on what--and how!--I draw.

The SPCA shall hear of this!! Doing that to such a perfectly rendered squirrel. And this is not helping my anxiety of what is happening to our beloved heroes meanwhile.
