I can also appreciate the beauty of Jean's face in that first panel (even though she's getting clocked!). Its gotta be the eyes - or maybe its the movement of her hair.

Eh.. that Jean pic is alright... };-> Actually, yes, it *is* very well done. However, as there are a great many beautiful drawings of Ms. Grey from JB to choose from, there are a few that I do like more. And most of them don’t even involve her getting clocked ;-) |

I've always very been fond of the way John Byrne draws faces, both male and female. They are always... likeable? ...appealing? Dunno how to describe it.IMO, a lot of artists are either too cartoony, too sloppy/inconsistent, or in an attempt to be realistic tumble down into the depths of an uncanny valley. |

JB, because this is fan fiction, could you see the X-Men encountering non-Marvel characters like saaay Grunt and Nudge?

I got a Gene Colan vibe from the first panel of today's page and we know how great Colan and Palmer looked together.

I've always very been fond of the way John Byrne draws faces, both male and female. They are always... likeable? ...appealing? Dunno how to describe it.•• Shooter once told me that he liked how I drew Ghost Rider (this was in the Champions days) because I made the character look "handsome". He meant it as a compliment, but my immediate reaction was "Gotta fix that!"
