And some of you are ranging dangerously close to speculation!

Kurt has been living a whirlwind the past few days! He hasn't had time to mourn Amanda yet.
Now I need reminding. Is there still a puddle of Vuk's companions lying about?

JB, when you write, do you use an outline of any kind to keep the plot lines of a story on track or are you able to just organize in your head as you go?

The anticipation is almost palpable! I don't think I've ever read a comic like this with more than a few seconds delay between pages.* It seems every page ends in a mini-cliffhanger. It's very effective storytelling for sure.
*The only thing I can think of are those old (and silly) one-page Dungeons & Dragons advertisements. Which, I have to admit, I loved...

JB,
We are seeing the vast differences between "our" X-Men and their "Alt" dopplegangers.
"Our" Magneto - It it safe to say that he was de-aged by the mutant Alpha from AVENGERS #110 , then aged back to normal (possibly early middle-age, 40-ish?) by Shi'ar technology. From my understanding, his power was restored to a higher level before the de-aging.
"Alt" Magneto - He may not have ever encountered Alpha, hence his older appearance. Would he around 50? 60?
I wonder which Magneto would have the advantage?
As always, each page brings something great.

The ripple effect is in full play, here. Make one change—remove Xavier from the equation—and a cascade of change is unleashed. Indeed, the “alt” Magneto would not have been turned into an infant and then restored to his prime, so he is more or less as we met him in the first issue of X-MEN. How old would that make him? Older than Xavier, I would guess. How old are Wanda and Pietro? Something that has proved interesting, reading over back issues as I built this story: I had given much thought to how much the Thomas/Adams Savage Land story reworked Magneto’s personality. Before then, he was basically a thug. Even what we saw of his face was rough. Minus the “all conquering colors” tho he took on a more intellectual aspect. Not played consistently in later appearances (of course) but nevertheless casting a long shadow.

Poor Pablo! Even a glancing blow has to hurt a normal adult, much more a kid!

JB, since your don't include the history of Magneto having been in a concentration camp in your version, even though Magneto is still an older man, is it safe to assume he may have not even been born during World War II?

That would place his date of birth somewhere in the Seventies—probably around the time I was first working on UNCANNY! This is why it’s best to recall what I have long said: there are only four time periods in comics. The Past (before now), NOW, and the Future (after now). Plus World War 2. Now is the most fungible.
