I'm really enjoying this whole Magneto storyline! It's been worth the wait since reading about the proposed "What If" story.

I enjoy the Magneto storyline, but definitely want to know what happens with Kitty and the Imperial Guard story too.

I am not predicting anything, but wondering and considering a moral question/dilemma .
Can an autistic child have the mens rea to be culpable for murder? If Pablo, for example, sent material impaling MMagneto's head killing him, does he have the ability to comprehend what he is doing? I am thinking he would be innocent.
But then what responsibility does the Professor have by allowing Pablo to be around an area known to be prone for destruction and attack?
Very interesting moral possibility and consequences.
I am sure we will see something completely unexpected happen, but I like the thought-provoking ideas presented here.
Thank you.
And again, thank you for the best art in the business.

Love the drapery of Vuk’s sleeve. I find myself looking at these things like that in real life all the time now. I’ll see a sleeve or pant leg and say, “that looks just like that one JB drew.”

But then what responsibility does the Professor have by allowing Pablo to be around an area known to be prone for destruction and attack?•• For many years, my father was head of the Zoning Department for the city of Calgary, in Canada. Almost by osmosis, I picked up on a lot of the rules and regulations that were part of his day to day business, and I came to realize how many comic characters violated those rules constantly. Take the FF. There has never been any indication that the Baxter Building was/is zoned for residential, yet the team live there without comment. At the same time, Chris Claremont used to grumble that Child Services should be investigating the welfare of Franklin Richards. These are examples--two of many--of pulling too much of the real world into the stories. For the X-Men, the whole concept is in violation of many rules, especially the exploitation of minors. Bobby Drake was 16 when we met him. Jean Grey perhaps a year older. All were under 21. Yet Xavier routinely sent them into scenarios where they could be killed or maimed. Because it's a comic book. Marvel strove to be "realistic", but only up to a point.

Magneto controlling the body of someone as powerful as Colossus is scary! Peter may want to do something about that.
Yikes! I forgot all about Vuk!
JB, how do you decide whether a character who is talking to himself does so out loud (speech balloon) or silently (thought balloon)?

I’ll see a sleeve or pant leg and say, “that looks just like that one JB drew.”•• After faking it for decades, it was my 3D modeler that finally gave me a handle on drapery. I was putting together a tableau of Spider-Man vs Doctor Octopus, and I wanted Octavius to be wearing a lab coat over his usual duds. I could not find a satisfactory version already available, so I sat myself down and figured out how the sleeves would crease and fold, and built a "skinned" object to represent that. Of course, my "research" flowed over into my drawings. Suddenly, characters no longer looked like they were wearing accordions on their arms and legs!

Yikes! I forgot all about Vuk! •• Confession: I almost had, too! ++ JB, how do you decide whether a character who is talking to himself does so out loud (speech balloon) or silently (thought balloon)? •• Stan used to have characters talk to themselves--Spider-Man being a prime example--and I followed his lead. I use thought balloons when I don't want the character(s) to be overheard.

I'll take heroism over realism everyday.
Thursday, March 18th, 2021: The day a thousand plot lines came crashing together! Patience is a...something.
Alt-Magneto making Colossus punch Pablo really drove home for me what an evil SOB he really is. However, it produced one of my favorite drawings of Peter, so there's that.
Looking forward to what tomorrow brings!

Can someone remind me whether Pablo and Kurt have met? (Which I’ve wondered since yesterday morning — but refrained from sharing until now, in the off-chance that it might be relevant to today’s page!)
