Who is more agile, Beast or Nightcrawler?

I’d say Nightcrawler, due to his more slender frame.

Am I remembering this right:

you once said that Nightcrawler could probably, because of his agility and frame, jump through Kitty as she phased against a wall

It was a defining moment of clarity on how limber and agile Kurt is

I had to stop for a moment to work out what the SPOK SPOK was. When I realised, it made me feel a little weak.

Very cool having Nightcrawler leap in with his feet to remove Alt Magneto's (how apt that name would seem now to our German-speaking hero) helmet.

Love the aged face and the eerieness of the last panel.

Nuts and bolts art question for John: how did you do the "bamf" on page 12 which is all white appearing in the brimstoney smoke of Kurt's teleportation? I can't believe this could just be letters you "erased into existence" but it also lacks the distinctive letter outlines of usual sound effects you cut and paste. It is, however, lovely. Stumped, here!

I have a whole sheet of comicbook sound effects that I paste into the art as a separate layer. In the case of that BAMF I had selected only the fill, leaving the holding line behind. Result, what you see!

Mr. Byrne - I bet  you do indeed. But do you have a SHPLOINK or a FURSHGLURK or a BLAMP or even a KLANG BANG KALOONG KLONG?

Gee whiz, I miss Don Martin. I remember your homage to him with Power Man and Iron Fist. Does a tribute get better than that? I think not.

That cover earned Marvel a letter of complaint from the editors at MAD. HOW DARE we steal Don Martin’s style!

Archie Goodwin, Marvel’s EiC, shook his head as only he could. “I thought they were supposed to be the funny ones...?”

John, thanks for the explanation!

Eric, Don Martin was the sound effects king! One of those Mad Super Specials had a bunch of stickers with nothing but DM's wacky sound effects and I can still remember a lot of them (PWANG! for the frying pan in the face, for instance; just perfect!)

Looks like Nightcrawler has opened up Alt-Magneto to a whole world of hurt!

I cannot get enough of you drawing Nightcrawler, JB - and this page is the
ultimate. Kurt grabbing the helmet off Magneto is an instant classic.

And the Pablo moment is just perfect. This series is crackling with crazy
energy even beyond what I was accustomed to reading WHAT IF?
