Nightcrawler, much like Spider-Man, is always superb when JB is on art duty. Another lovely page showing off what Nightcrawler is capable of doing.

Couldn't resist using those sound effects to indicate plotline intersection!

Kurt is observing M-Man Beast and Magneto, and is in and stripping Magneto of his helmet before anyone else can act. That kid is FAST! And I love the way you showed it, Mr. Byrne.
Magneto and Juggernaut are certainly a little less dangerous when their helmets are off. Is that sort of a standing order in the X-Men, Mr. Byrne? "Mags and Juggy... get their helmets off... Sauron... cover his eyes..."?
I'm gonna assume that Spider-Man has seen his run of action for this storyline... but an evil Spider-Man against the X-Men would leave me on the floor, exhausted. I don't suppose...?

the first comic book back issue I ever bought (as the end goal of money from a long summer of cutting lawns) was XM 100 and the subtle realization that these Alt-X-men are not ours is definitely echoing that comic for me. All we need is a cover with the two sets of X-men facing each other
"..you look so much older.." = perfection.

Although Kurt was a bit impetuous taking on *a* Beast and Magneto on his own, it's hard to fault his reaction of "I need to do something"--especially if he's seeing his comrades down and disabled. But what happens now, with Magneto's helmet off? If Professor X can be revived, it might change the game for everyone.

With Pablo's "awakening," Magneto may have more to worry about than a conscious Professor X!
